Feminin -e Suffixe in Rectus

bıvurne

In the administrative meeting at 14. June we spoke about this and came to this decion:

To solve the issue, a new page about this issue will be created, people from other dialects will be invited.

So lets start the discussion.

Advantages of the feminin -e suffix in the rectus:

  • One can know which word is feminin or which word is masculine thank to the suffixe, as example: if anybody see the word "roce", then he can know immediately that its feminin. This suffix makes the using of Zazaki more easy. The differentiation between masculine and feminin is then not a thing to learn the gender by heart of more then 50 tousand words.

One must only look if a word has this -e suffix or not. example:

  • şewe (night) < feminin, şan (evening) < masculine, dewe (village) > feminine, varan (rain) < masculine, vewre (snow) < feminine, mırçıke (bird) < feminine. kutık (dog) < masculine.

Its makes Zazaki really easy.

Disadvantage:

  • Its in the sounding for the Central Zazas and some south Zazas not beautiful.

Status:

  • The Zazaki Institute and Vate do use this -e suffix at feminine.
  • Faruk Iremet, ZazaYasar and other authors from South and Central are against this.
  • But also in Faruk Iremets dialect are rests of this suffix as -ı, as in words as kerdenı, here shows the ı, that "kerden" is feminine. And as we know made the Southern dialect always an e -> ı change, as in de > dı, be > bı
  • ZazaDerbekirij of Southern use also at words as roce this suffix as ı, in his dialect: rojı
